We worked with the Lowell Food Security Coalition (LFSC) in Lowell, Massachusetts to leverage their existing resources toward new and shared goals to create a thriving food system for the municipality in the coming years.
The LFSC is part of Lowell's 10 year initiative to end hunger and homelessness and represents more than 20 stakeholder groups. The project built on the successfully completed Community Food Assessment to:
- Identify shared goals and objectives through community and stakeholder engagement
- Map existing needs, resources, and collaborations
- Create a digital and publicly accessible mapping tool where community members can view and edit existing maps or build new ones to meet future needs
- Redesign the LFSC's website to promote the range of tools and resources that they offer
